Associate Director (Full-Time)

Can you see the big picture while working to keep all the pieces moving smoothly? We are looking for an experienced Associate Director that can multi-task with accuracy. Our new teammate must be organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in reviewing procedures and processes. Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills needed.  

Our ideal candidate is competent in QuickBooks, database management, and online platforms such as GoTo Webinar; experience with event planning and managing conferences is a plus.

This is a Full-time position at our office in Bloomington, MN during business hours with occasional weekend or evenings during special events and also involves some occasional travel (approx. 7 – 15 days per year). We offer vacation, holiday and sick pay as well as retirement benefits; however, no insurance is offered at this time.

At least 2 years of experience in an administrative support role required, and a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

Administrative Support:

  • Track and perform data entry in QuickBooks for monthly financials and collect reports for Accountant.
  • Assist with marketing: create, edit, and pull copy or reports; research contacts .
  • Collect data for monthly and special reports as required by Board.
  • Process and develop materials for regional trainings, exhibits at outside conference.
  • Timely response to phone calls, email and mail.
  • Establish and maintain administrative files.
  • Maintain membership files and database.
  • Minnesota HR base knowledge
  • Working knowledge of developmental trauma and attachment
  • Other tasks as needed.

Event Support:

  • Assist Executive Director and Conference Committee with conference planning and travel to rotating site annually.
  • Manage registration desk and oversee logistics
  • Process a large amount of workshop proposals, registration, sponsors, and exhibitors.
  • Coordinate Continuing Education credits with provider.
  • Process and analyze data and create reports.
  • Process webinar registrations and host online sessions.

Development Coordinator (Part-Time)

The agency’s development coordinator is an integral part of the ATTACh team. They are responsible for the planning and implementation of corporate and foundation giving, and are also expected to design and develop a major donor campaign for the agency. This person will collaborate with the agency executive director to write and produce successful funding proposals that further the agency’s mission and fit within its strategic plan.

  • The successful candidate will be able to:research, prepare, and write proposals to secure grants and donations that provide vital support to the agency’s operations and programs;
  • create and adjust development strategies as part of the agency’s larger marketing goals and plans;
  • cultivate and develop relationships with funders and donors;
  • enter pertinent data on all funding sources into the agency database for tracking;
  • track grant implementation progress;
  • write reports to funders, and with the executive director, take responsibility for all funder and donor communications.

Events (~10%)

  • Assist in planning and logistics for ATTACh’s events and conferences
  • Help to host at the organization’s events as needed;
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of marketing efforts that promote the agency and its events.

Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit grant writing. 
  • Persuasive writing skills; excellent research skills; keen attention to detail in crafting grant narratives, budgets, program logic models, evaluations, grant reports and other work products.
  • Liaison with board members and committees.
  •  Experience with FileMaker preferred; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook skills required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with a small team, be a self-starter and work independently, and prioritize and multi-task efficiently. Ability to meet deadlines critical
